Deadend Magazine Shop Feature: Padilla Custom Design

For our first shop feature we decided to showcase our good friend Eddie Padilla. Eddie is a young and talented painter/builder. He started painting at a very young age, and quickly built a name for himself in the Northern California scene. He went from a custom painter to a full service builder, ranging from simple paint work to full custom fabrication and complete builds. Padilla custom design is a full service shop doing everything from full restorations to air ride and hydraulic suspension. Eddie and his crew are a good example of passion driven success, at the young age of 26 he has been involved in some award winning builds and is constantly raising the bar for himself.

Sunday morning we did something we should've done a long time ago. Something we were actually surprised we hadn't done before. We shot and filmed Coby Gewertz' custom Ford Econoline "VanGo." If you haven't heard of or seen VanGo you haven't been paying attention. The crazy cool Econoline has been showing at shows & cruising the streets for a few years now. Some highlights include Coby driving the van from Southern California to Austin Texas and more recently the van took a trio to Mooneyes' Yokohama show in Japan. Everything about VanGo is cool. The exterior paint, the suspension, the wheels, the custom work and then you open the side doors. The interior is just as cool as the exterior. We're glad we finally took the time to shoot Coby's van. Stay tuned for the video...
