Goodguys Autumn Get-Together 2019

We spent this past weekend in Pleasanton, CA for the annual GoodGuys Autumn Get-Together. The weather was great and like most Goodguys show there was a lot to do throughout the fairgrounds. Like a great car show, auto cross, demolition derby, car corral and the popular swapmeet. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Deadend Magazine booth!

Deadend Magazine Flagship Store Closing Party

This past Saturday we hosted a closing party at our flagship store in Old Town Salinas. We had a lot of cars and a lot of people from all over Northern California show up and celebrate with us. There were so many cars out that there was a cruise night vibe because parking is hard to find in this part of town. We released some new merchandise, did some giveaways, a Dj provided some good music and we even had a photo booth set up so people can take home a good memory. Saturday was our last day being open at our Mid Town Lane location in Salinas. We have had some good events at our flagship store and made some great memories. People from all over the world have stopped by and checked it out, and locals stopped by regularly in the last three and a half years. The Old Town community has been very welcoming and supported our brand. It is time for us as a brand to make some changes, we will have more information soon.

Deadend Magazine Flagship Store Closing Party

After three and a half years it is time for us to close our flagship store in Oldtown Salinas. Come out and celebrate with us Saturday October 26th. Bring out your classic cars and bring some friends to check out some of our new product. It will be the last time this location will be open. We’ve had some good times at the store, let’s do it one more time!

Valley Nationals 2019

This past weekend we headed over to Madera CA to check out the Valley Nationals. It was our first time attending this show, we do not get out to the Valley so much these days so it was nice to see some different cars that we don’t usually see. There was a little bit of everything at this event, cars on display indoor and outdoor, a small swapmeet, two stages with live music, and 805 Beer being served all day. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Deadend Magazine booth!

Bombs on the Bay

The first annual Bombs on the Bay show took place in Monterey CA this past weekend. A lot of quality bombs showed up from all over California and even a few other states. The weather was perfect, the food was great and Confunkshun put on a great show. We hosted Deadend feature room, so we had to make sure and invite some traditional styled customs to set up in our building. We look forward to being a part of this great event next year. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Deadend Magazine booth.

Street Life Car Club Picnic

We grew up in East Salinas where seeing low riders cruise through our neighborhood wasn’t uncommon. I can remember Richie Powell making his Mazda B2000 ned dance. Dino’s step dad shining up his 67 Impala every weekend. Johnny the swapmeeter’s flamed up dodge truck, Michael’s Impala rusting away on his driveway next door waiting for the “one day” he could afford to build it. Probably the most memorable low rider cruising our street was a candy painted late 80’s Mercury Cougar with paint fades, Alan Sign pinstriping and a shiny Street Life Car Club in his back window. Street Life was the first car club we knew about. So it’s exciting to see the fellas from Street Life Car Club making a big comeback. This past weekend Street Life held a picnic at Toro Park. It was a fun smaller event with a lot of our favorite local cars. Thanks for the invite fellas. We’re glad to see the Street Life plaques flying again.

Billetproof & C10 Intervention

We have been going to Billetproof (in Antioch, CA) for many years now. We continue to have a good time year after year. It’s always fun to see friends and their cars. Some of which we seem to only catch up with at Billetproof. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Deadend Magazine booth!

SAP Center 25 Year Festival

The SAP Center in San Jose, CA wanted some classic cars for their 25 Year Festival this past weekend so they reached out to GoodGuys and Deadend Magazine. We had the pleasure of inviting some of our friends to put their cars on display. It was fun to watch the festival goers checking out and taking pictures of the cars.
