Noble Fabrication "Endless Summer" & Photo shoot with Genesis

For the last few years Noble Fabrication has hosted “Endless Summer” cruise-in the Sunday after the Ventura Nationals. We haven’t had a chance to make it in years, but always heard good things about the event. We made it a point not to miss it this year. We’re glad we made it! It’s a nice event to hang out and talk about how awesome Ventura Nationals was at Matt’s cool shop. Check out some of the photos we captured.

Ventura Nationals 2019

Ventura Nationals weekend kicks off Friday night in downtown Ventura with an art show and cruise in. The art on display and the bands playing music are always good, but the best part of the pre party is watching all the cars cruise on Main St. And the icing on the cake for Friday night is watching Aaron from the Lost Angels Children’s Project pull up in the car that will be given away Saturday at the end of the show.

The car show continues to be one of the best of the year when it comes to traditional custom cars. This year the weather was perfect, the fog rolled in thick early on but eventually cleared up and the sun was out the rest of the day. Aside from cool cars and great vendors Ventura Nationals is also know for always having great live music. If you have not attended recently we highly recommend you don’t miss it next year.

San Francisco King of the Streets 2019 | Cruising Mission

The King of the Streets car show in San Francisco has become one of the most popular and well known lowrider events in the Bay Area. The coolest part of the event happens after the car show when everyone goes out to Mission street to hang out and cruise. If you ever want to experience a true “lowrider” happening we recommend you make it out to San Francisco for the King of the Streets and go to Mission Street after the show. Mission is full of lowriders and people for at least five blocks, every corner has a DJ or someone playing cool music and the cars cruise all evening well into the night. There is so much action that we have a hard time capturing it all even with three of us shooting photos. The atmosphere and vibe is like no other and will turn anyone into a fan of lowriding. The San Francisco Lowrider Council does a great job of working with the City to reserve all the parking spots on Mission for lowriders only, and even though the police is present they seem to focus mainly on keeping the peace during the event.

New Year's Weekend 2019

They say the way you begin the new year is the way you will spend the rest of the year. In our case they are absolutely right. We always spend New Year’s Day at some kind of car event. The start of 2019 was no exception. We split up and covered a few events.

Our last photo shoot of 2018 was with our friend Mayra Kay in our hometown of Salinas, CA.

Fit Kustom Tokyo Japan

El Classico is a shop based in Tokyo Japan, better know by their car club name "Fit Kustoms". They build top notch American custom cars. One of their most notable builds is the candy red 1957 Chevy Nomad know as "Acid 57". We visited the shop on our latest trip to Japan. We have been there in the past but we are still blown away every time we see the latest projects and their parts collection.

Custom Hill 2018

Last month we visited Japan to attend the Custom Hill Reunion. We were fortunate enough to ride with our homies from Pharaohs Car Club. The Pharaohs all drive very traditional styled lowriders with hydraulics and bias ply tires. We rolled with them on a five hour drive from Nagoya to the car show. The drive was a lot of fun and a great experience, the car show did not disappoint. There was a good mix of customs and lowriders and even some cool hot rods, surrounded by beautiful nature. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Deadend Magazine booth.

The Road to Custom Hill Reunion 2018 w/Pharaohs Car Club

We have been fortunate enough to travel to Japan numerous times, and every time is a different and great experience. The best part of being in Japan is making memories with old and new friends, having the opportunity to become friends with the people we meet and interact with.

A couple of weeks ago we went back to Japan to attend the Custom Hill car show, we really didn’t know much about the event but we had heard good things about it. We were lucky enough to ride from Nagoya to the show area with our homies from Pharaohs Car Club and a couple of rides from Primera Car Club. Junichi and the rest of the crew let us ride with them in their bad ass low riders. It took us about five hours with a couple of stops in between. I noticed that every car in the caravan was riding on bias ply 5.20 tires and hydraulics, and a half of them had candy paint. It was impressive to see that they were willing to drive so far in such traditional cars even driving thru some rain. It was a great experience and we hope to do it again next time we visit Japan.
