The King of the Streets car show in San Francisco has become one of the most popular and well known lowrider events in the Bay Area. The coolest part of the event happens after the car show when everyone goes out to Mission street to hang out and cruise. If you ever want to experience a true “lowrider” happening we recommend you make it out to San Francisco for the King of the Streets and go to Mission Street after the show. Mission is full of lowriders and people for at least five blocks, every corner has a DJ or someone playing cool music and the cars cruise all evening well into the night. There is so much action that we have a hard time capturing it all even with three of us shooting photos. The atmosphere and vibe is like no other and will turn anyone into a fan of lowriding. The San Francisco Lowrider Council does a great job of working with the City to reserve all the parking spots on Mission for lowriders only, and even though the police is present they seem to focus mainly on keeping the peace during the event.
THE LATEST DEADEND MAGAZINE
Every year we look forward to what we would call one of the most fun events we go to all year, San Francisco's King Of The Streets. You see The San Francisco Lowrider Council & company do such a great job with providing so much to do in 1 day it makes for a great time. First there's the car show with hundreds of entries, then there's the hop with hoppers from all over the state competing for the crown and last the event goes to the streets. The Mission district to be exact. Low riders flood the streets of San Francisco making for a great (long) day.
From the show to the streets...
Sunday we teamed up with Calaveras Car Club to host the first annual Bay Area Dam Run. We met up early in the morning with a bunch of cool cars in Morgan Hill, CA went for a drive up to the Anderson Dam stopped to hang out for a bit then headed back down to a barbeque at a friends shop. The cars look great on the road! Thanks to everyone who came out we hope the Bay Area Dam Run becomes an annual event.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Deadend booth this past weekend.
Thanks for looking!
