Deadend Magazine Weekend Report - 02/13/17

We finally had a chance to shoot Mike Montes' 51 Cadillac. In case you're unfamiliar Mike is the blessed individual that won this beautiful mild custom that was built by Lost Angels Children's Project at last year's Ventura Nationals. For more info visit www.lostangelscp.org

Sunday we headed to Concord, CA to shoot a few of the cars the fellas at East Bay Speed & Custom have at their shop at the moment. The East Bay crew have been pumping out some amazing customs & hot rods the last few years.

Deadend Magazine Weekend Report - Grand National Roadster Show 2017

First and foremost we'd like to thank everyone who stopped by the Deadend Magazine booth this past weekend at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, CA. We really enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. Holding down the booth and walking around capturing photos takes a toll on us but it is definitely worth it!

As you can see from our (short) coverage there was a lot to see and admire at the "Grand Daddy Of Them All."

We hit a couple cruise nights while we were down in Southern California which we will post soon.

Throwback - Billy's Chop Shop

Yesterday I was doing a little spring cleaning and found flyers we printed back in 2004 with Billy Wishart's hot rod. So I figured I'd dig into an external hard drive & find more shots we took of Billy's car.

This is back when we shot with a Canon 35mm camera. Enjoy.

Throwback - East Bay 40

The fellas at East Bay Speed & Custom have been busy the last few years building some amazing traditional hot rods & customs. Check out www.eastbayspeedandcustom.com for their latest build "Mickey's Mouse" that took home a few awards at the Grand National Roadster Show. Talking to Brandon & Aaron this weekend got me thinking of when we first shot Brandon's mild and clean 40 Ford... So here are a few shots from back in 2010. Enjoy.

Woman Wednesday - Tracey

We first shot with Tracey back in late 2008. We told one of our friends living in Los Angeles that we needed a model with a little bit of attitude to pose with a hot rod in Downtown Los Angeles. She recommended her friend Tracey. We liked Tracey and her looks we shot her a second time two years later.

We think Tracey paired up with the Lomas Coupe shows a ton of attitude.

For our second shoot with Tracey we shot her with our friend's convertible.

Again we were happy the way Tracey and the car complimented each other.
